Karen has a B.S. in Physical Education with an Athletic Training emphasis, and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. She is a certified orthopedic clinical specialist and has over 20 years of experience, with a primary focus on orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.


Karen's continuing education has included study with many internationally renowned instructors in the areas of Kinesiotaping, muscle energy technique, Mulligan’s mobilization with movement, myofascial release, McConnell technique,  and craniosacral therapy. She is presently working in an outpatient physical therapy setting where she strives to achieve rapid functional improvement in her patients through a blending of joint and soft tissue mobilization, exercise, taping, and many other types of self-help education. She worked as a physical therapist/athletic trainer with the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.


Karen has taught Kinesiotaping since 2003. Teaching engagements have included domestic and international courses and conferences.  In her free time, Karen works in her garden, plays grass doubles volleyball, hikes, mountain bikes, and backpacks.
